When you send an enquiry
The contact form sends me your name, email address, project type and message, plus the page you sent it from and how you arrived (the referring site or campaign tag). To block spam, a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser’s user agent are stored with it; the IP address itself is not.
I use this only to reply and to work with you on the project. You also get an automatic confirmation email. Enquiries are kept while they are useful for the conversation or project, and deleted on request.
Visit statistics, without cookies
The site counts page views on its own server: the page address, where the visit came from, the device type (desktop, mobile or tablet) and the country. The country is looked up from your IP address on the server using the DB-IP database and only the two-letter country code is kept; the IP address is not stored.
To count each visitor once per day, a salted hash of your IP address and browser is kept for that day and deleted after two days. It can’t be turned back into your IP address. No cookies are used for this. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the visit is not counted at all.
Cookies and analytics (only if you agree)
With your permission, the site loads Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how pages are used. They set cookies (such as _ga) and send usage data to Google, which handles it under its privacy policy. Nothing from Google loads until you click Accept on the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Your cookie choice and your display preferences (theme, font and accent colour) are kept in your own browser’s storage. They aren’t sent to me.
Embedded videos
Posts can embed YouTube (through its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com address), Vimeo or SoundCloud. When you play one, that service receives the request and its own policy applies.
Who else handles the data
- Hostinger hosts the site, its database and the email it sends. The servers are in Malaysia, with backups in Singapore.
- Google receives analytics data only if you accept analytics cookies.
Nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Email showmikhassan455@gmail.com and you’ll get an answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS only, sends strict security headers, and limits who can sign in to the admin area. Integration keys are stored encrypted.
Children
The site isn’t aimed at children under 16 and doesn’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. See also the terms of use.
